If you are someone who likes to watch all types of movies and not just focus on one genre, you will know that there are very few movies about characters who are in the wrong place at the wrong time, meaning that if the characters were not there, the story would not be like this. For example, in the movie Transit, an ordinary family is about to go on a trip. Suddenly, a bank robber sneaks money into the family's car. This family is unlucky and is hunted down by the robber without knowing (this movie is also fun and exciting, I tell you). It is similar to the movie Carry-on, a dangerous baggage, which is about a person who wants to advance in his career, so he asks to work in a new position until a chaotic situation develops and becomes a big problem. Plus, the story is so interesting that we have to pick it up and recommend a review for you to read.
The story of Carry-on, a dangerous baggage, will be about Ethan Kopek, a transportation security officer at Los Angeles International Airport. He is a pessimistic and unambitious person. He failed the police academy, so he lives his life with his wife. One day, his wife tells him that she is pregnant. Ethan has to think about the future by asking his boss to work as a baggage scanner, hoping to show his good deeds and get a promotion. On Christmas Eve, the airport is very crowded. Then, a mysterious phone call tells him to let a bag go through the scanner. If he doesn't do it, his wife will be killed. The story of a good man in the wrong place at the wrong time begins.
The story begins by introducing us to Ethan, a young man who lives his life aimlessly. His wife is the one who keeps him sane and does everything for her. When his wife tells him that she is pregnant with their first child, his slowness changes. It's like telling the audience that Ethan's wife is everything in his life and he is ready to do anything to protect her. The story begins in a leisurely manner, telling the story of where the bag came from and introducing the characters who will share this fate. The chaos at the airport before the holidays must be so hectic. When Ethan receives a call from a mysterious person, the real story begins.
The first part of the story is about sitting and watching at the baggage scanner where Ethan is working. The bad guy who wants the bag to be scanned finds a way to force Ethan to do what he wants by telling him his information in detail. Previously, the bad guy's real target was his friend, but Ethan was working hard in the wrong place so he exchanged positions with his friend. The bad guy had to change his plan to Ethan, and Ethan tried to resist and find a way to contact other people, while the bad guy was able to outsmart Ethan. Plus, the bad guy is extremely brutal, killing anyone he can without caring about anything. And when he threatened Ethan about his wife, he agreed to do it. But with a heart that loves virtue, even though he failed the police exam, he tried to prevent it. If he let the bag pass, something bad might happen in the future, which would definitely be a stain on him for the rest of his life. So Ethan tried to fix it so that it wouldn't happen, even though he didn't even know what was in the bag.
The story will gradually increase in intensity to make us excited about how Ethan will solve the game because the villain knows and sees everything Ethan has done. Until the second act, which has police characters joining, the story gradually progresses. It cuts to Ethan's story of searching for the villain and where he is in the airport. When he finds him, the story changes from asking for cooperation to actually forcing and threatening to kill, making us, the audience, unable to sit still and root for Ethan. And if you try to find fault with why Ethan didn't do this or that, believe me, the movie has covered all the gaps. Ethan has done everything you think and what you didn't think, but the villain figured it out so much that we, the audience, have to wonder what Ethan will do next. That is the highlight and selling point of this movie.
In terms of disadvantages, there are actually many points. The first is the villain. If he was going to do a big job, he would be good at planning. He even had a plan one, two, three, four in advance, but he didn't think to find more people. If you don't count the person who gave him the bag in the middle of the story, there were only two robbers, which was not enough for this level of work. On the other hand, if there were more villains, Ethan definitely wouldn't have the freedom to run around like this. This is probably what the scriptwriter thought of, so there were only two villains in the story. In the middle of the story, another character will be added (I won't say who they are, go see for yourself). This character tends to be impulsive and rash, which is very annoying to watch. Before this, this character seemed calm, but when something happened, he lost his mind and didn't care about anything anymore. He forgot that if the story ended, he would have to go to jail for murder, but he still did it. This is very annoying. And this doesn't even include the wife who, instead of finding someone to help, ran to a place with a lot of people, but ran to a place with no people. It was very annoying to watch
As for the actors, there's no need to worry at all. Everyone played their roles very well. The Thai voice acting is also okay and up to standard. It's fun to watch and exciting throughout the whole story, especially towards the end when if the main character didn't have the investigative skills he learned from the police academy and his abilities as an airport officer, he wouldn't have been able to do this. Anyone who likes thrilling, survival-oriented movies, I'm telling you, you shouldn't miss this. As for the score, I give it about 7.4 out of 10. As for the parts I cut that I liked as we mentioned, please tell me what you think. As for anyone who's never seen it, I highly recommend it. This type of movie doesn't come around very often, so we don't want you to miss it.
