After taking a break during the New Year for 1 episode, Kamen Rider Gavv is back. After the preview for episode 16 left the audience wondering what the new Rider seen in the preview would be like, if you remember, in the previous episodes, the creation of a new belt was discussed several times. Until episode 17, the new belt was completed. The person who created the belt was Third Brother, Niyelf Stomak, who collected information about Kamen Rider Gavv’s fights to develop it into his own belt. The person who transformed is a Granite named Rake 9. Judging from his handsome appearance in human form, many people guessed that he might be a supporting character in the future. Let’s see what interesting stories Kamen Rider Gavv episode 17 has, let’s take a look together.
The first episode starts with the aftermath of New Year's Day, when mochi called Matsunouchi was made, and the story that was left unresolved from the previous episode, where Shoma and Hanto began to be suspicious of each other. Shoma, who was suspicious and afraid that Hanto would find out that he was a Granite, would not be friends anymore because Hanto hated and resented Granite so much that he would not forgive any Granite. Meanwhile, Shoma thought that not all Granite was bad, so it was a fine line that Shoma did not dare to tell because he did not have any evidence to confirm this matter. Meanwhile, Hanto began to suspect Shoma of why he seemed strange. When Hanto said that he would sneak into the other world through the door that Granite Crab had mentioned, Shoma forbade him, which seemed strange, but Hanto had no evidence to confirm this matter, so the two of them created a wall between each other that they both understood very well.
Cut to the 3rd brother, Niyelf Stomak, who also started his own new plan. Even though he looks like a person who can see through people, he knows that Rake 9 is pretending to be calm and gentle, which looks like a pretense. And it seems that Niyelf knows that Rake 9 is not interested in the dark candy, so he makes a new offer that if Rake 9 agrees to do as he orders, he will give him what he wants, which really hits the mark for Rake 9. When that happens, Rake 9 agrees to be a tool for Niyelf to experiment with the belt he invented until he transforms into Kamen Rider Vlam.
To be honest, the story in Kamen Rider Gavv Episode 17 is not outstanding or interesting at all. It's just Granite's pursuit of humans using the plan, "Can you please pick up my handkerchief?" (If you read this as a song, you're not a child anymore.) It's not really interesting because the real selling point of this episode is the introduction of a new Rider, Kamen Rider Vlam, who transforms using pudding (the spoon used to scoop the pudding is also in his ear).
Kamen Rider Gavv's highlight is his fighting moves, which, if you look closely, look like a soccer kick. Even his goal celebration moves are used as fighting moves that look very unique and interesting. Anyone who has watched the Kamen Rider series will understand this gag well: sometimes the supporting characters who are introduced are enemies first, then become his allies later. Judging from his handsome face as a human, and his super cool transformation, it is safe to assume that he will have an important role in the future. Don't forget that Hanto has a problem with Granite being a monster. The arrival of Rake 9 may be a connection to this part of the story.
After this, the story of Kamen Rider Gavv will enter a more intense content. And if I have to guess the story from now on, it's possible that Krad 9 might be a detective from the Granite side who disguised himself to work here. Because if anyone remembers, the older brother, Lango Stomak, once said that selling dark snacks requires hiding from law enforcement because dark snacks are like a drug that sells rich Granite while poor Granite has to work catching humans in exchange for snacks, which is only a small number of Granite who do this. And if that's really the case, Hanto might have a new perspective on the Granite. We'll have to wait and see. For those who are interested in watching Kamen Rider Gavv with Thai dubbing, it's already aired for free. Anyone who's interested can go watch it on the DEXclub channel. And when Kamen Rider Gavv Episode 18 comes out, we'll definitely talk about it again. Stay tuned
