Trailers for the Spider-Noir series have just dropped, featuring both color and monochrome versions

Looking back at the animation Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, many who aren't die-hard fans of the Spider-Verse likely got their first look at various Spider-People. One standout was the monochrome hero, Spider-Noir. In the film, he mentions hailing from a world entirely in black and white, seeing everything in those same shades. Due to his grittier and more serious backstory compared to the others, Amazon Prime decided to bring Spider-Noir to life in a live-action series. The legendary Nicolas Cage returns to play Ben Reilly (Spider-Noir). Here is the first trailer with Thai dubbing—let’s see just how interesting this preview is!

The story of Spider-Noir follows a detective named Ben Reilly, who gains superhuman abilities through a mysterious experiment. This transforms him into a Spider-Man variant set in the 1930s. While his powers mirror those of other Spider-People, Spider-Noir stands out for his lethal approach—he isn't afraid to use guns and eliminates his enemies permanently to ensure they don't cause trouble later.

The series maintains a gritty, detective-style tone, staying true to the original black-and-white aesthetic. Following his breakout appearance in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, this live-action adaptation expands on his lore, staying as faithful to the comics as possible in both costume design and narrative depth

Inside the trailer, we catch a glimpse of a villain wielding fire powers alongside fragments of Ben Reilly’s lost memories. We see him taking on his role as a detective, investigating a mysterious case, before the teaser concludes with Spider-Noir swinging through the city just like other Spider-variants.

The series features the striking slogan: 'With no power, comes no responsibility.' However, the trailer doesn't explicitly confirm if this Spider-Noir is the same one we met in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Currently, there are already two distinct versions if you count the movie and the original comics—adding this series would bring the total to three. Interestingly, a detail many might not know is that Nicolas Cage was also the original voice actor for Spider-Noir in the Into the Spider-Verse animation

Another standout feature of this series is the viewing experience: you can choose between the standard full-color version or the black-and-white version, which stays true to the Spider-Noir universe's aesthetic. The series is directed by Oren Uziel, with the writer of The Cloverfield Paradox on board. Since both have previously collaborated on the crime-noir film Shimmer Lake, high quality is practically guaranteed. Spider-Noir is set to premiere on May 27th, exclusively on Prime Video. Don't miss it!
