We have now reached episode 2 of the world-saving science story, Dr. Stone Season 4. If anyone remembers, the previous episode ended with Senku and his friends arguing about traveling to America in time for the American corn harvest so they can produce a large amount of resurrection potion. However, traveling is not as easy as it seems because anything can happen at sea, including the mental state of the crew, which plays an important role in the journey. Therefore, there must be a relaxation for the crew. What interesting stories will there be in episode 2? Let's take a look together.
The episode opens with a continuation from the previous episode, where the crew members are relaxing with beer that Senku made before boarding the ship. The journey on the ship is long enough for the beer to be brewed to the right point, but some crew members don't want to drink it, so they create strange drinks that are only made by certain people using the power of science. In this episode, we learn that the bartender shaking the glass back and forth that we see isn't for mixing alcohol or science, but is just for show to make people enjoy the drink.
We also meet an important teammate who is like a secret character of the story, Nong Kammat, who we all know is very poisonous. It took Senku a long time to get it because its poison can kill people in just a few seconds. But this thing is incredibly useful to humans. And sulfur is one of the things that we think of and many things that we never knew before. Many people who have watched the anime or read the manga Dr. Stone will probably say the same thing as the characters in the story that the power of science is really interesting and wonderful.
Next is the story of Matsukaze's (the respected swordsman Ginro) past. In the past, there was a tool that turned people into stone that fell on the island as if it was intentional by someone. At first, the islanders did not know about it and were afraid of it. But soon, humans learned how to use it and it was used as a weapon. In the end, Matsukaze's young master died. If Matsukaze had not cut off his arm at that time and let the young master live, he would certainly not have died. But it is possible that the statue of the young master might have been destroyed like the others (Matsukaze's happened not to be destroyed). Therefore, cutting off the arm or letting the young master turn to stone should have the same value. And here we know that in the end, these bandits won. Until time passed, the village head ordered the destruction of this petrifying device. And only one piece was left, until it was passed down until now. And now it is too weak to be used.
Next is a story about science about Vikings who can travel across continents with the Sun Stone, or officially known as Calcite, which Chrome collected before meeting Senku. Chrome is full of the heart of a scientist. Even Senku admits and always says that if Chrome were born in his time, he would definitely be a scientist as good as him. And by using Calcite to reflect the image of the sun at night or when there are clouds, they can travel correctly and not get lost (Vikings use the sun to navigate). But in normal episodes, they use Japanese time calculations that send signals to ships to indicate the route and sailing time like GPS, which ordinary people like us might be confused about. But sailors and people who read maps will understand this part.
The story ends with the revival of Hyuuga, a small-eyed man who is skilled at spears, along with Moze (a flirtatious young man) and Momiji, Hyuuga's close female friend who used to be his enemy, by telling them the truth about the people behind what made the world like this and are going to travel to the moon to fix everything. Everyone accepts them and becomes his team (don't forget that this is a shonen manga). In the end, everyone has safely arrived in America.
In the next episode, the villains who will be Senku's enemies will be introduced. Who are they and how did they get back from being stone? After this, there will be a new science war that is more fun and exciting than before because the other side is smart and has developed themselves many steps further than Senku. I must say that every episode is fun and worth following. Don't miss it. For anyone who is interested, you can follow it on Netflix, which will be shown every Thursday. See you next week.
