GameStop and Nintendo Insider Spotted Accessories Reveal Nintendo Switch 2 Logo

As soon as we cross into 2025, there is immediately hot news in the gaming industry. In 2024, there was some talk about this news from time to time, but it was not as fierce and there was no evidence to confirm it as it is now. With the trend of Nintendo's new game console, the Nintendo Switch 2, many people are waiting and wondering what this game console will look like and if it will be called Nintendo Switch 2. Because if anyone remembers, Nintendo has never used the number 2 on its game consoles. Or is this the first time that Nintendo will use it? We don't know. Recently, there have been 2 rumors about this issue that we have gathered together for you to read at once. The first news is that someone saw a list of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories and prices on the GameStop system. The other news is that Nintendo Insider revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 logo. Let's take a look at both of these news together

The first news comes from a Reddit user named Opposite-Chemistry96, who claims to be a GameStop employee, sharing images on the Switch subreddit. The images show various accessories that the store will sell, clearly labeled as Switch 2 (as shown in the image), including a Switch 2 micro SD card, a charging dock, a carrying case, and a tempered glass screen protector. There are also prices for SD cards starting at $49.99 and cases for $19.99.

This leak from GameStop seems to be an important indicator that Nintendo's new console, the Nintendo Switch 2, will definitely be released soon. Nintendo previously told us that the company will release the new console before the end of the current fiscal year, which is any time between now and March 31, 2025. Many people have guessed that Nintendo will release it immediately and then release it without any warning. Currently, the factory is rushing to produce the console in time for the release, while the accessories are not as strict as Nintendo's factory, which is why this information was leaked.

Another news comes from a reliable source, Nintendo Insider, who revealed the Exact logo of Switch 2. The reliable leaked news came from an insider of an insider of an insider of Nintendo, which was released from an X account named Necro' Felipe #UnivNintendo (with a blue check mark next to his name). He posted a picture of the Nintendo Switch 2 logo with the caption, "Good morning. I can say that this is the first time I have had access to the Nintendo Switch 2 logo, along with a photo of the console logo sent to me by a reliable source. From what I saw, I recreated it and it should look like this."

When seeing this, it is possible to guess that Nintendo will probably use the official name Nintendo Switch 2 instead of putting the name at the end like Super Famicom or Gameboy Advance as they used to, to avoid confusion like the Wii U was, where people who are not in the gaming industry were confused about whether these two machines were the same machine or an accessory (the author has been asked this by many people outside the gaming industry). Nintendo should solve this problem by putting the number 2 at the end and be done with it.

But as I said, this is just a rumor. In any case, listen carefully and don't believe it until you actually see it or Nintendo officially announces it. When that time comes, we will know which news source is correct. And for those who are afraid that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be released shortly after the launch and they won't have time to save up, I have to say that there's no need to rush. Because the first batch of games that have been released are hard to find. Even if you can buy them, they are expensive because they are re-sold. You have to wait a year for the console to sell normally. So there's no need to rush. Slowly save up money and you'll be able to buy it soon. And if there is any interesting news, we will rush to report it to you immediately. Stay tuned.
