Mieruko-chan Movie Announces Release Date and First Trailer

When talking about ghost anime manga, I believe that many people must have many favorite anime manga, both old and new. One of them is a ghost anime with a cute little girl who suddenly becomes a person who can see ghosts out of nowhere, until it becomes a mix of comedy and horror, until we, the viewers, secretly feel sorry for the younger heroine in the story at the same time. With the anime manga Mieruko-chan or in Thai Mieruko-chan, who said I can see ghosts, a comedy and horror anime that has now been announced to be made into a movie and has released the first trailer for us to watch. I must say that the cast is very similar to the cartoon.

For those who don't know the story of the manga anime Mieruko-chan, Who Said I Can See Ghosts? It tells the story of a young girl, Miko-chan, a normal girl who lives a normal life like any other Japanese girl. But one day, she suddenly becomes someone who can see ghosts. Miko-chan herself doesn't know how she got this way. The fun part of this manga anime is the encounters with ghosts in various forms in Miko-chan's daily life. Whether she goes to school, she encounters ghosts greeting all the students (but no one sees her), while on her way home, she encounters a ghost at the bus stop, stops to buy food with her friends, and encounters a ghost while standing in the wrong line (standing in line with a ghost waiting to go somewhere), or even at home, she encounters a ghost. In other words, wherever she goes and whatever she does, she encounters ghosts. Or should I say that the ghosts are living their lives and she meets them herself?

The selling point of this story is the various ghosts that are drawn in a very creepy and scary way. As for Miko, she has to pretend not to see ghosts. She has to suppress her fear and pretend not to know so that the spirits don't know that she sees ghosts. She doesn't know what will happen if the ghosts know that she sees them. As for her friends, one has the power to see small ghosts and the other doesn't have the power but can summon ghosts to come to her. In the trailer, we only see a glimpse of the ghosts, as if they intended for us to wait and see in the movie. As I said, the selling point of this story is the ghosts, so the production team should have kept it.

In terms of the cast, Nanoka Hara from the live-action Suzume, Oshi no Ko will be playing Miko Yotsuya, the main character of the story, a girl who sees ghosts. Rinka Kumada from It Takes More than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love will be playing Hana Yurikawa, Miko's best friend (the ghost puller). Naenano from Oshi no Ko will be playing Yuria Niguredo, Miko's classmate who is likely a new character added to the film. Coki-Yamashita from Oshi no Ko will be playing Akio Gondo, a girl with spirit powers (the story's comedic character), which is already quite interesting from the trailer.

As for the manga, Mieruko-chan was published on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website in November 2018, and has been viewed over 85 million times. As of the 10th volume, more than three million copies have been sold in Japan. In our country, there is both a manga and a Thai-dubbed anime. If anyone hasn't seen it, I highly recommend it. When I watched it, I had to brace myself because the ghosts are really scary (not being sarcastic, they're really scary). The Mieruko-chan movie will be released on June 6. As for our country, we'll have to wait and see if someone will import it or show it on a streaming channel. We'll have to wait and see if there's any information. We'll report it as soon as we have any.
