Shift Up gives all employees a PS5 Pro as a bonus This doesn't even include the bonus money.

If you are reading this news, it has been a few days since 2024. Many people should be back to their beloved jobs after many days of celebration and relaxation. The gaming industry is quiet right now, with no interesting news. There is only rumors about the Nintendo Switch 2, which are likely to be nothing special, and the drama that has dragged on until this year. There is no new interesting news. There is only news that makes many people jealous and often can't sleep. People who think positively fall asleep and fall asleep easily (reading this sentence is like a song about old age). This enviable news comes from a studio that many people have given a thumbs up to as being really cool, Shift Up, which made the game Stellar Blade, and told us that during the past New Year, the studio gave away a PS5 Pro to all employees as a New Year's gift.

This envy-inducing story comes from X of StellarBlade (with a blue check mark next to its name), who accompanied it with a photo of a pile of PS5 Pros and a clip of employees waiting to receive their consoles before leaving the event, along with the caption, "Today we have the SHIFTUP New Year Event. Everyone get a PS5 Pro so you can enjoy Stellar Blade in 4K, right? Oh, and there's Lily and Eve too..." Shift Up reportedly held its own New Year's party with around 311 attendees in Seoul on Monday, and each employee received a 5 million won ($3,752.60) bonus.

Shift Up's representative commented on the bonus, saying that "The bonus and increment payment (PS5 Pro5) is intended to motivate employees to work." It goes against the trend of the gaming industry. If anyone remembers in 2024, there were many announcements of layoffs, including industry giants Sony and Microsoft, which laid off software developers in their studios. But Shift Up went against the grain and gave a bonus. That means that the game StellarBlade should sell very well. This is just on PlayStation 5. If it's on PC this year, I don't even want to think about how much sales will surge.

Arriving at this point, many people may wonder that since StellarBlade has already given bonuses to its employees, why doesn't the game company that made Black Myth Wukong give the same to its employees? (Foreigners are confused as to why they don't give them the same.) I must say that the developer of Black Myth Wukong is from China. They probably give bonuses during the Chinese New Year. When that time comes, we will definitely have news about the studio that developed Black Myth Wukong giving big bonuses to its employees during the Chinese New Year. Stay tuned!
