Someone brought Marvel Rivals to play on Nintendo 3DS.

 

Back in the last few years, there has been a strange spontaneous collaboration among gamers to put the original Doom game on various electronic devices (whether it can be played or not is another matter). As a result, we have seen electronic devices with screens, from refrigerators to lawnmowers to adult toys, that can fit the original Doom game into them. And now, it seems that someone has opened up a new universe: bringing Marvel Rivals to the Nintendo 3DS for you to try out. Let's see what it would be like to put Marvel Rivals on the Nintendo 3DS.

The story comes from a Reddit user named PhxSunsFan who posted the story on the Marvel Rivals subreddit along with a screenshot of Marvel Rivals being played on a New Nintendo 3DS XL, the final 3DS model that has more powerful specs than the regular 3DS (the New Nintendo 3DS has a more powerful CPU and faster processing than the first model). He summarized the gameplay and installing Marvel Rivals on the console as "Don't do it." PhxSunsFan said, "I tried playing Marvel Rivals on the Nintendo 3DS, and the input lag was pretty bad. The shooting range wasn't too bad, but there was still some lag. Still, it's funny to see the game on the 3DS!"

And when PhxSunsFan posted about it, there were a lot of different opinions about it, for example "From mobile to mobile lol". Some said "Nguyen (original writer Ngl) I wish I had a new DS that could play games like Marvel Rivals". Some said "In my experience, it works as well as your PC can, aside from the graphical realism. As the original poster said, there might be some input lag, but I didn't experience much". Or some sarcastic replies like "I swear in my last few matches, this was my teammates' hardware". Some said "Hahaha, seriously, I want to play this on my Wii U with Moonlight when I get home".

For those who are interested, I would like to tell you not to try it, unless you want to take a photo to show off, because you can't actually play it like PhxSunsFan said (unfortunately, there is no video of it being played). Even the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo's most powerful console right now, can't play Marvel Rivals (I guess if Marvel Rivals really wants to do it, it can, but it would be easier to do it on the Nintendo Switch 2). But what's interesting about this news is who will put Marvel Rivals on which consoles in the future? This is quite something to think about.
