Since you've read this article, it's been a few days since 2024. Last year saw a lot of great anime, from brand-new anime to long-awaited anime sequels. Although some of the sequels didn't live up to the standards fans wanted, many of the anime were so good that many people praised them as their favorite anime of the past year. However, there were many great anime that aired last year that didn't gain much attention. With that in mind, we've picked up some great forgotten anime to recommend so that anyone interested can go and watch them. Let's take a look at the anime.
Go! Go! Loser Ranger
Let's start with the first story with the satirical anime about the 5-color Sentai, Go! Go! Loser Ranger. This brutal anime teases the good we know and the evil we are familiar with, saying that it is just a thin line. The story is told thirteen years ago. An evil army tried to invade the world. But there was a group of Super Sentai heroes known as the Divine Dragon Rangers who came out to protect the world. But the evil army was defeated within a year. The leader was eliminated, leaving only the lackeys who were used as slaves and inhumanely abused. Until we have to ask ourselves again what the background of the heroes we know is like. And will the lackeys be able to deal with the heroes? That is the main point of this anime. Anyone interested can watch it on Disney+.
Uzumaki
Let's continue with an anime that is 100% copied from the manga, so much so that it's like we're seeing the manga come to life, with the anime Uzumaki, the Howling Butt of Death, based on the famous manga from the series, Horror Archives by Junji Ito, which is a 4-episode short story about strange stories in a small town through the main character who has to encounter strange stories of things that turn into a spiral, which I must say is extremely scary and hair-raising. Anyone interested can go read the review that we've posted. As for anyone interested, you can go watch it on Netflix right now.
Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online
Finally, we have Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online, an anime that has been on hiatus for 6 full years before it finally gets its second season. This is an anime about a gun nerd and a loli character that blends together perfectly. For those who don’t know, the story in the first season is about a university student who is over 190 cm tall. She has an extreme complex about her height, so she escapes reality and plays VR games. Eventually, she plays Gun Gale Online and gets a small character that she wants. While playing, she ends up being so good that she wins the first season’s competition. In season 2, the competition is held again with new teammates and new players. If you like guns and loli characters, you can watch the entire 2 seasons.
Orb On the Movements of the Earth
Another good anime that has been forgotten is Orb On the Movements of the Earth. The anime is inspired by the true story of Nicolaus Copernicus, a Renaissance mathematician and astronomer who invented a heliocentric model of the solar system in 15th century Poland. The story is about beliefs that clash with religion. Anyone who proposes scientific ideas will be severely opposed by the C religion to the point of being accused of being heretics. The series focuses on the philosophy of science and political implications without any fantasy. But if you open your mind, you will find incredible fun. The anime is on Netflix. Go watch it and you will love this realistic anime.
