In contrast, the console version ran smoothly without any issues. This is because Capcom typically prioritizes console development first before porting to PC, as was the case with Monster Hunter World. However, this time Capcom aimed to capture profits from both platforms simultaneously, resulting in an unpolished PC version. Consequently, with Pragmata, they have chosen to give extra attention to the PC build to avoid repeating those mistakes

The core reason can be summarized as follows: 'Since every PC has vastly different specifications, individual optimization on Steam is not an easy task. Releasing the demo on PC first allows the team to gather feedback to improve the game as much as possible before its global launch. These improvements focus heavily on frame rate stability
Mr. Oyama stated, 'We prioritize the player's gameplay experience over graphical fidelity. To ensure better performance, we are willing to scale back graphics so the game remains playable.' In simpler terms, the team opted to reduce graphical quality to narrow down the variables caused by diverse PC hardware. This gives the team more time to fine-tune various graphical settings and ensure a better, more stable frame rate. Meanwhile, on the console side, specifically the Nintendo Switch 2 version, Pragmata performs exceptionally well—comparable to Resident Evil Requiem. In other words, you can rest assured about its quality.
Mr. Oyama further stated that Capcom's RE ENGINE is highly compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, making development smoother than expected. He emphasized that the previous delay of Pragmata was not intended to coincide with the Nintendo Switch 2 launch; rather, the game's quality had not yet reached the standard they wanted to deliver at that time. The concept of controlling two characters simultaneously has been there from the start, but finding a way to transform it into a balanced gameplay system required additional time.
