After a one-week break for the New Year, the series Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai (Tanzaburo Tojima Wants to Become a Kamen Rider) returns with Chapter 14 to answer the cliffhanger many fans have been waiting for In the previous chapter, we saw the middle sister, Futaba Shimamura, donning the Tora Master mask to face off against the Spider Cyborg. She took the place of her teacher, who had been targeted by the Yakuza. In this encounter, Futaba has seen the truth with her own eyes: Shocker is real, and modified human monsters actually exist. Let’s dive in and see what interesting developments await us in Chapter 14
Starting with the battle between Futaba and the Spider Cyborg—as we saw in the previous chapter during the fight against her own brother, she is strong enough to easily crush Shocker soldiers. However, her current skill level isn't enough to defeat a modified human like the Spider Cyborg. This stands in stark contrast to Uncle Tojima, who manages to punch the Spider Cyborg so hard it flies back, leaving the creature shocked by his power. This makes the Spider Cyborg want to learn more about humans. We must not forget that when humans are captured and turned into monsters, they undergo a much more intense brainwashing process than the standard Shocker grunts. To put it simply: once they’ve been brainwashed at that level, there is absolutely no way for them to regain their original memories
Shocker selects individuals who possess both physical strength and high intelligence to undergo modification, turning them into high-ranking cyborgs within the organization. As many may recall, Takeshi Hongo—or Kamen Rider 1—was kidnapped by Shocker to be turned into a Grasshopper Augment (Modified Human). While the surgery was a success, a traitor within the organization helped him escape just before the brainwashing process could begin. He then used his newly acquired powers to fight back against Shocker

Now that Futaba is convinced that Shocker truly exists, we finally get a glimpse into Shocker's ultimate goal: they aim to rapidly increase their population to conquer the entire world in one fell swoop. On one side, the Bat Cyborg has been recruiting female idols into Shocker's ranks to influence the public and attract a massive following of new members
This stands in contrast to the Spider Cyborg, who selectively chooses only those who personally pique his interest to join him. The story then shifts to focus on the 'romance' between the Seal-like Idol and the Spider Cyborg, hinting that we will see another side of these characters in the future. We’ll have to wait and see how the story unfolds in the next chapter
