One Piece Chapter 1174: "The Descent of the Sun God"

The story picks up right where it left off, with Sommers standing there in slack-jawed shock. The "Dream Monsters" he sent to escort the giant children to the ship were effortlessly defeated by the Giant Mothers.

Furthermore, the combined power of the Three Commanders has completely sunk the transport ship Sommers brought to take the children away. The sheer force of the destruction carved a massive hole in the Sea of Clouds, making it impossible for them to get the children off the island for now.

Meanwhile, the children—still under the influence of Gunko’s arrows—continue to march forward toward the sunken ship. This means they are headed straight for the edge, where they will fall into the "Underworld" below to certain death.

At first, Sommers seemed horrified by the sight of the children marching toward their doom. However, he quickly realized that this chaos creates a massive opening for him to gain the upper hand in battle. His expression shifts into a twisted, evil grin, spitting saliva in pure, sadistic delight at the turn of events

Sommers, wearing a wide, mocking grin, screams at the top of his lungs:

"This is insane... what a magnificent way to die!!! Just thinking about it gets me off!! Better yet, this whole mess is going to be the 'Great One’s' blunder!! Now that she’s taken over Gunko’s body... The tears!!! The desperate cries for one another!!! The love between parent and child!!! This is it... THIS is true emotion!!"

(Note: This highlights the mental link between the Commanders; Sommers knows Imu is possessing Gunko, but since Gunko briefly broke free from Imu’s shackles and caused this mess, Sommers is secretly loving the fact that his 'boss' screwed up.)

Seeing the mothers fighting desperately, Colon bursts into tears, sobbing to himself, "I’ll never be bad again... I promise."

A brief flashback triggers: Colon has just won a duel against another child to take back a toy. Ripley approaches and scolds him firmly:

"Colon, you are much stronger than the other children. You should use that strength to be kind, not to bully the weak."

Back in the present, Colon is only a few steps away from the edge of the pier. Suddenly, Ripley appears right in front of him. Despite being pierced and bloodied by the thorns, she pulls her son into a tight embrace.

Colon (Crying): "I don’t want to die yet!!! Mommy!!!"

Ripley: "Don't be afraid, Colon. Mommy will protect everyone."

Seeing his mother being hurt further by the thorns as she holds him, Colon screams: Colon: "Mom, stop! Don't do this! It's dangerous!"

Ripley (With unwavering resolve): "I won't let you die alone. If we have to go, we go together!!"

One by one, the other mothers reach their children, pulling them into final embraces. Bound together by love, the mothers and their children fall from the edge, vanishing into the abyss together....

Suddenly, the very foundations of Elbaf begin to quake, as if something massive is surging up from the depths below. A colossal black dragon bursts forth, and riding on its back is Luffy in his giant Gear 5 form! They arrive just in time to catch everyone mid-fall.

As Loki makes his grand appearance, snow begins to fall over Elbaf, accompanied by thunder and lightning tearing across the sky. This is the true power of Loki’s Devil Fruit—a force capable of shaking the entire island to its core.

The children and mothers are stunned by the sight (unsure whether to be more shocked by the giant Luffy or the massive dragon!). But once they realize it is Luffy who has brought this dragon to their rescue, their fear turns into overwhelming joy.

Loki, in his dragon form, swiftly carries everyone to safety, restoring hope and morale to the battlefield as the tide finally begins to turn

With everyone now safe, Luffy and Loki—in his Black Dragon form—charge headlong toward the Nightmare Monsters. The Drums of Liberation roar with such intensity that the sound echoes across every corner of Elbaf. The fighting giants freeze in their tracks, struck with awe as they witness the Black Dragon and Gear 5 Luffy soaring through the skies.

Sommers is consumed by a blind rage, his face contorting as he realizes his sadistic "perfect ending" has been completely derailed. Meanwhile, Imu (in Gunko’s body) stands perfectly still, watching the scene unfold in chilling silence, uttering not a single word

Elder Jarl, watching the scene with wide-eyed wonder, exclaims at the top of his lungs:

"On the day of the blizzard and the lightning strike...!! A colossal beast shall emerge to shroud the very heavens... and alongside the Drums of Liberation... The Sun God shall descend...!!!"

The perspective shifts to Luffy, standing triumphantly atop Loki’s head. He lets out his signature infectious laugh and looks down at his new companion:

"Whoa! Look at how huge you are, Shishishi!!"
